Description
Motivated my play, Tilt is an exploration in how gentle movement can be embraced by tradition homeware objects and their forms.
Initially prototyped in PLA, the product is intented to be manufactured using turned ash.

Through a series of physical prototypes, I tested and refined the form to understand how changes in thickness, proportions, geometry, and material distribution affected the way it sat and rocked. This became an exercise in dialling in these values through small, controlled adjustments, using each iteration to move closer to a form that held its weight in the right places while maintaining the desired movement.
